Another mixed media piece (Copic, pen and ink, gouache, digital). I was looking through a book of Edo period prints not too long ago, and almost forgot how imaginative the images, and the characters featured in them, were. Along with the slice-of-life illustrations were fish that caused earthquakes on the regular, and rats that acted as book keepers for merchants.
